Assistive Listening Devices

If you’ve been struggling to hear, an assistive listening device can help you focus on speech sounds, or access the technology you use the most.

Hearing on the Phone: If you have trouble hearing on the phone, consider assistive technology to help you follow conversations. Assistive phone devices will provide subtitles to your conversations, so you don’t have to rely on the audio to understand what’s been said.

Hearing Speech in Background Noise: An assistive listening device can help when you’re struggling to hear conversations in places with a lot of background noise. You can attach a small microphone to the shirt of the person you want to hear, and send their voice right to your hearing aids for better speech understanding in challenging listening environments.

Hearing Loops: Many public buildings, concert halls, and transit centers, have hearing loop systems in place. T-coil technology, either in your hearing aid or as part of an assistive listening device, can connect to the hearing loop to bring sounds right to your ears. You’ll hear the person on stage, or announcements on the PA system, without straining to hear.

Custom Hearing Protection

If you’re often exposed to very loud sounds during work or leisure activities, hearing protection is extremely important. People who risk their hearing daily include construction workers, factory employees, hunters, musicians, and motorcyclists. Custom hearing protection is molded to fit the contours of your ears, providing far better hearing protection than foam earplugs or earmuffs. Custom hearing protection is comfortable and durable, and can be worn all day every day to provide the best in hearing protection.
